About our company
Dramatic English (DE) (www.dramaticenglish.com.hk) has pioneered the dramatic approach to language learning as well as to management, leadership team building and communication training since 2003. The approach has been highly recognized and widely accepted in the education and the corporate circle in Hong Kong. DE was founded and is managed by a team of expertise in training, education, drama and language teaching, as well as from corporate training and the entertainment businesses. Our vision is to build a corporation that enhances cross-cultural understanding through the use of innovative training and learning methodologies and operational models; in the hope of creating a more harmonious and peaceful society.
Our Capabilities
DE is proud to have a team of charismatic and experienced corporate trainers led by our directors Mr. Alfred Cheung Kin Ting, Mr. Luke Yick, and Mr. Man Cheung. Our team of 40 professional drama practitioners who are ready to conduct our unique employee training and language learning programs is also unparalleled in Hong Kong.
DE has its own training venue in Jordan. The venue integrates a studio theatre in a training centre, a design that is rather unique in Hong Kong. Alternatively, DE can also deliver the training in your training center or offsite training venues.
DE's approach will be a combination of seminars, extended improvisation activities and small group workshops. In the workshops, DE's trainers would utilize interesting, inspiring and engaging techniques in drama such as theatre games, role play, group-dynamic games, improvisation, mime, masks, story telling, etc. to help you learn more effectively while having fun. With DE's team of charismatic speakers such as Mr. Cheung Kin Ting, DE's seminars would help and inspire lots of participants at the same time. Our unique extended improvisation activities, which are adapted from improvisational drama, offer participants opportunities to learn through games while playing roles in many different creative contexts.

Unique Offers by Dramatic English
Training could be fun and rewarding, using our innovative training programs. Employees could build up all the necessary skills to prepare for challenges of today and tomorrow. We are experts in the following areas:
Leadership for Management Executives
"We are moving from an economy and a society built on the logical, linear, computer like capabilities of the Information Age to an economy and a society built on the inventive, empathic, big-picture capabilities of what's rising in its place, the Conceptual Age." said Daniel Pink in the introduction of his latest book "A whole new mind". Organizations in this emerging new age need leaders that could adapt to these changes. Leaders in the 21st century need to adapt to this new paradigm and to be equipped with a new set of skills. DE's leadership training will inspire leaders to re-position themselves and build up the skills to manage in 3 key areas of today and tomorrow: Creativity, Communications and Continuity.
Team Building Programs
DE has designed many interesting extended improvisation activities to allow participants to be engaged in different contexts and learn by experience. Our unique team of drama practitioners are experts in leading these activities and inspire the participants along the way. Participants will learn while having fun. DE can also organize, lead and teach executive theatre groups as an alternative for groups of around 12 participants each. DE has led groups of around 20 to produce mini-musical drama performances and all the participants loved that wonderful experience.
Communication and Language Training
Communication and language skills are the most important assets for executives of today. DE has professional experts to help you build up skills to speak and present in the public, to speak in interviews by the press, to speak in front of cameras, and to use your language skills in a creative and charismatic way. DE can also provide introductory and advance language workshops in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
Community Projects - Caring for the World 2007
DE has a Theatre in Education (TIE) team that develops original plays and tours the performance to schools, shopping malls and various other places in Hong Kong. The play this season is "Ooopps...I Killed a Penguin!", a comedy that carries a strong message of saving the earth from global warming and to protect our environment. As the show is in English with interactive parts to engage the audience, and would come with sets of worksheets for the audience, parents and teachers will love to take their kids and students to watch the show. You can design a community service event by integrating this TIE show as a core attraction; you could follow this theatre troupe to schools in Hong Kong and offer community service to students of the schools after the performance; or you could simply sponsor the show so more schools, more students can watch the show and learn the message. We are open for creative ideas. Detail
